March update! Lots of Everyday Outfits!

So life has been hectic for me once again! I've been sewing constantly and trying to stay on top of keeping stock in my Etsy store along with some custom orders. I've been out to the Drag Shows lately with friends which is always fun. I've just finished a year long metaphysical course called The Great Work.I just started a new YouTube channel talking about witchy and pagan topics. And I won a donut from Tim Hortons roll up the rim to win! Woo-Hoo!

There has been a lot of talk in the online metaphysical and pagan communities right now about the major shift in energy recently. It's like the universal energy is suddenly more focused on moving forward in a positive direction! If you aren't feeling this movement right now then I would suggest taking a break from all the negative media for a bit. Because trust me it's there! And we have a full moon in Virgo coming up this week. It's a perfect time to be motivated and get things done. Organizing and planning should come easy with this full moon.

It's been a while since I posted some everyday outfit photos so I have quite a few for you!
Don't forget you can find me on Instagram also.

New Faery Dress

I've been on a bit of a break from sewing lately but I am definitely starting to feel inspired once again! The first dress I've done is a pretty orange knit with a black lace overlay. I styled it with my steampunk boots and a beaded shawl. Here's the link to Etsy if you're interested.

How did that puppy butt get in there! Really Bella!

Everyday Outfit: Sister of the Moon

Today was a super full moon in Pisces. Since Pisces rules the emotions we are supposed to be able to work on and release any unwanted emotional baggage or unwanted habits during this full moon in order to move on to a better place in our lives. There are lots of things I need to work on in my life but the main objective for this full moon is to let go of procrastination in my creativity. Sometimes it's just a matter of making a To-Do list and sticking to it! I really need to get more organized and say good bye to stress sewing. Ha! So my new mantra is Just Do It!

Every month on the full moon I can't help thinking of this classic Fleetwood Mac song "sisters of the moon" check out the video here. http://youtu.be/MylEvSwDVSk

What I wore today:

Beaded sheer top: Mexx
Purple Cami: Smart Set
Beaded gypsy skirt: thrifted

Purple Rosary: The Gift Crypt

Everyday Outfit: Spellbound

The weather was just cool enough today that I could wear a long skirt again! I took a break from all the sewing and spent a nice day with the Hubby. We went for lunch and then visited a sick friend in the hospital. Hopefully he gets better soon.

I seem to be channeling Rowena from Supernatural lately. She often rocks a long dress or skirt just like the one I'm wearing today. If you are not a fan of Supernatural yet be sure to check it out soon! However, you will have to wait until Season 10 for Rowena to show up.

What I'm wearing:

Shrug: made by me
Skirt: made by me
Tank: Mexx
Ballet Flats: Ardenes
Oregonite Necklace: Cat Book and Candle

Everyday Outfit: Shabby Witchy Dress

It's always a treat to take the time to do my nails in a nice shiny colour! I picked up this Gosh nail polish in Nero and Lambada at my local drug store. Last night I spent the evening watching one of my favourite TV shows Supernatural and painting my nails. Woo-Hoo! I love theses colours together.

And here is what I wore today:

Dress: Black Orchid Designs
Cardigan: thrifted
Sandals: Towne Shoes
Distressed Parasol: borrowed from a friend.

And here is what I made today!
Old school gothic top and flirty red dress. Both have corsetting on the front
and are available at Black Orchid Designs.

Fashion Inspiration: Stevie Nicks

The first time I fell in love with Stevie Nicks and her fashion style was when I watched the music video "Gypsy" on MTV in the early 80s. Every time that video came on I was mesmerized by her spinning on the edge of the cliff with a gorgeous shawl. I wanted to be her! I loved everything about her style. The shawls, leg warmers and boots, top hats, and long romantic dresses. The first time I saw her was long before the Internet so the only photos I had of her were from magazines or the photography on her album covers. Actually, I think she is the reason I became obsessed with victorian and romantic clothes when I was a teenager! I would search the thrift stores when I was young looking for clothes exactly like hers. Oh wait...I still do!

And one of the most endearing things about her is that her style is timeless. Her wardrobe has evolved and gotten better with time but her unique fashion style has never changed over the years. I have seen her referred to as the godmother of goth before. And I completely agree. Along with a few other ladies, she influenced the Romanti-Goth style that I love. Gothic, Bohemian, or witchy style.  Whatever you want to call her, she is a timeless style icon. And looking through all these gorgeous photos of her again just makes me want to wear all those romantic clothes like she wears all the time! So what if it's completely impractical most of the time? It's so pretty!

And I love her music also. I have most of her albums with Fleetwood Mac and also the solo ones. The best of Fleetwood Mac CD gets a lot play time. I've never seen them in concert though. Hopefully my Hubby will splurge on some tickets on a future tour. At least I hope so!
