Unfortunately my hubby is having a rough time right now dealing with some injuries he acquired in a snowmobile accident. So while I am busier than ever at sewing he is forced to slow down and take it easy right now. This is a foreign concept to my dear husband. He's a Leo and likes to go full speed all the time. I'm just hoping that he is feeling better by the time the snow melts so he can ride his mountain bike again in the spring. He's only happy when he can ride his bike! I know he will heal completely with time and patience.

Besides chauffeuring my family around, I am setting a few business goals to work on in the future. My first goal is to set up an etsy page to sell my designs online. So far I have been selling all my products at a friend's store called Black Orchid Designs. The store is chock full of gorgeous handmade alternative fashion. I am very lucky to have my designs in the store along with my very talented friend Kerri Mercer. I also have big plans for some new dresses and skirts for spring. There will be new items coming soon!
Here are a few of my favourite things I made this month. You can find all my products on my Facebook page Mourning Glory Designs. Most of these tops have already been sold but I'm working on new ones now.
I remembering seeing these on Facebook. You should set up an Etsy page, you make gorgeous clothes.
ReplyDeleteKimono is my favourite - looks very stylish :)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that first one - the fabric on top is beautiful! I can never find any nice fabric in Calgary. Only one fabric store chain for a city over a million people, if you can believe it. :P
ReplyDeletealso voting for an etsy store, very talented :-)
ReplyDeleteYour designs are gorgeous! I love that antiquey rose one with the black velvet! And that butterfly one! Do you have any of that fabric left? Do you want to adopt me at all? :P
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful!!!!

Thank you so much Victoria! They are fun to wear. :)
DeleteWow! I had no idea how talented (and prolific) you are. Those pieces are lovely! They make me miss me 90's clothes :) I used to have this wonderful black crushed velvet full length fairy/bell sleeves dress, that I just loved.
ReplyDeleteThank you. I love the 90s styles! And they sell very well for me. The ladies my age love them but the young girls do too. They are pretty hard to find so my customers really appreciate them. Basically I just make things I would love to wear myself. Lol
DeleteI am delighted! These selection of clothes are dangerously beautiful and evocative ... WOW!
